NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation 2025 Annual Report
Hurricane Helene Relief
The NC REALTORS® Housing Foundation mobilized unprecedented resources in response to Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on Western North Carolina:
- Secured a $1,000,000 grant from the National Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® Relief Foundation
- Raised an additional $250,000 from state associations, local associations, community partners, and individuals
- Assisted 1,257 applicants with $1,000 grants for mortgage and rental assistance, distributing $1,257,908.66 in critical funding
- Donated $25,000 to the Housing Assistance Corporation for long-term recovery efforts assisting WNC residents with critical home repairs
- Contributed $1,000 to Durham Regional Association of REALTORS® and $2,000 to Burlington Alamance County Association of REALTORS® for September 2025 flood relief
Grant Programs
The Foundation dispersed 16 Matching Grants to 10 local associations totaling $58,000, including:
- Durham Regional Association of REALTORS®
- Greensboro Regional REALTORS® Association
- Cape Fear REALTORS®
- Carteret County Association of REALTORS®
- Longleaf Pine REALTORS®
- Albemarle Area Association of REALTORS®
- Wilson Board of REALTORS®
- Canopy REALTOR® Association
- Orange Chatham Association of REALTORS®
- Jacksonville Board of REALTORS®
- Raleigh Regional Associations of REALTORS®.
The Foundation also awarded Give Back Grants totaling $14,000 to 7 local associations:
- Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS®
- Durham Regional Association of REALTORS®
- Mountain Lakes Board of REALTORS®
- Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®
- Longleaf Pine REALTORS®
- Union County Association of REALTORS®
- Albemarle Area Association of REALTORS®.
As of December 8, 2025, the Foundation approved 30 Down Payment Assistance grants of $1,000 each, totaling $30,000.
2025 Impact: Total Aid Distributed $1,363,908.66
NC REALTORS® Local Associations Generous Support
The Foundation received tremendous support from local associations, including a $30,000 contribution from the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® Foundation (REALTOR® Giving Network) in January 2025, $8,000 from the Hendersonville Board of REALTORS® charity golf tournament in May 2025 and over $11,000 from the Topsail Island Association of REALTORS® charity golf tournament in October 2025. Additional contributions came from Albemarle Area Association ($10,000), Mid Carolina Regional MLS ($2,500), Orange Chatham Association ($2,100), Neuse River Region Association ($1,500), Washington Beaufort County Board of REALTORS® ($1,000), and Longleaf Pine REALTORS® ($1,060).
We R 100 Signature Luncheon
At the 2025 NC REALTORS® Convention & Expo in Cherokee, NC, the Foundation hosted its inaugural We R 100 signature luncheon, raising $60,000 with over 200 attendees. Table sponsors included:
